Meet the Owners
Celebrating the company’s 60th anniversary in 2022. Bernie Robbins has transformed from an appliance retailer with Maytag and GE to carrying the world’s most prestigious timepieces,an unparalleled diamond selection, and universally celebrated designers such as Roberto Coin, Marco Bicego, Ippolita, and many others - 60 years after its founding, service and attention to customer detail remain the hallmark of Bernie Robbins.
The Bernie Robbins name has always been synonymous with quality and exemplary service. Bernie Robbins started out as a small, family-owned appliance store in downtown Philadelphia. Shortly after Harvey Rovinsky married Maddy Rosenberg, daughter of the Bernie Robbins owner, he began managing the family business. Under his leadership since 1992, the company underwent five progressive incarnations. Harvey Rovinsky transformed Bernie Robbins Jewelers into the region's leading luxury jeweler that it is today.
Rovinsky credits the company's success to the strong partnership with his co-owner and wife, Maddy Rovinsky. Together, they travel the world to discover and debut exotic diamonds, exquisite jewelry and fine watches that reflect their customers' style and spirit. Bernie Robbins Jewelers attracts the world's foremost designers to its stores for personal appearances, trunk shows, special co-hosted dinners and fashion shows.
Bernie Robbins Jewelers is active in each local community and has formed strong partnerships with numerous foundations and organizations. From the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation, to the AtlantiCare Foundation to the Gift of Life Family House to the Utley Foundation, Bernie Robbins is renowned for its frequent sponsorship of charity events. Through relationships with internationally known brands such as Roberto Coin, Hearts On Fire and Rolex, the Rovinsky's increase the visibility of many charities and foundations.
Dedicated to providing knowledgeable and personalized service in a warm, comfortable atmosphere, Bernie Robbins Jewelers gives its customers the best shopping experience in the world. All stores offer delicious cappuccino at the jeweler's art deco coffee bar, The Jewel Box. Customers enjoy signature jellybeans while they browse, and celebrate with champagne.
